HALLOWEEN CULTURE
A REALPAGE TRADITION
In 2013, RealPage Manila began a series of Halloween Family Day activities. The first event entitled Scary Animated Movie Themes had bay decors that feature themes such as The Adams Family, Scooby Doo, and Hotel Transylvania. With an exponential growth in 2014, the morale committee was able to coordinate a two-part Halloween event called Hallow Scream: A Supernatural Design Contest and All Hallows Eve: A RealPage Family Day. The contest encouraged everyone to use recycled materials in decorating their bays to the likes of The Mummy, Harry Potter, and Zombies in Hollywood.
October 2015 marks RealPage Manila’s fourth year of success in the Philippines. The event was inclined to superhero themes and the title, “Fantastic @ 4”, couldn’t have been composed any better. RealPagers suited up their work bays as superheroes from comic books and TV series. It was an enjoyable day for youngsters and especially the kids at heart. Teams that represented Groot, Nightcrawler, Human Torch, Green Lantern, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were declared winners of the halloween decor contest.
This year, the everyone went all out with RealPage Carnival Land. This Halloween event offered a day's worth of tasty treats, parlor games, and live performances. RealPagers turned the office into a fixture of carnival splendor showcasing diverse attractions in each bay. Children wasted no time engaging in balloon pop, bottle ring toss, feed the pig, and a whole lot more. An Angry Birds game akin to the knockdown booth is also onsite!
Food stalls scattered around the vicinity offered juice, burgers, hotdogs, and cotton candies. Nearby photo standees depicting circus clowns and animals offered a nice spot for pictures. It didn't take long before live performers provided amusement through the magician, bubble, and acrobat shows. When Jollibee mascots arrived to join the fun, kids even had more reason to rejoice!
All in all, this year’s Halloween activity was a blast! One would think that carnivals are no longer relevant today but this event proved otherwise. It goes to show how kids love it more when they get a nurturing response from friends and especially their parents. With that said, let's hope that next year's Halloween event brings more tricks and even more treats!
