EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
RUBEN "BENJO" LASET
In any company, the management makes an effort to help employees accomplish their job. Their dedication sometimes go unnoticed. With that said, the PAGES team decided to place a spotlight on our very own Ruben Antonio Laset. Better known as Benjo, this dedicated fellow manages the leave tracker for all employees of RealPage Manila. And by all, we’re talking about over a thousand records. Can you imagine yourself handling that much? We can only picture how, in a given day, he’d regularly document leave data, accomplish related tasks, and entertain various concerns.
Benjo graduated from The College of Saint Benilde in 2010 and achieved a bachelor’s degree in Science and Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management. He enjoys a fine selection of video games and thinks he’s twenty-eight years old. Without further ado, here’s a quick interview at the man himself:
Before Realpage, what was the most interesting job you have experienced?
I used to be part of the recruitment team back when I was with IBM. It was my first venture into HR so everything was fresh and new.
What are the things you enjoy most in Realpage?
The environment.
Can you describe yourself in three words?
Gamer for life.
What usually motivates you?
Helping my parents out. They’re getting older and I need to watch out for them…and of course, the next awesome video game on the store’s shelf.
Your hobbies?
Drawing…and playing a ton of video games.
If you can go back to some time and place in the past, where and when would you go? Why?
Japan, a year ago. I really enjoyed the sights and culture there. It was also one of the few places where I felt absolutely safe.
If you are a car, what would you be?
Bat Mobile…I’m also a comic book fan.
What is your greatest fear?
Not fitting in.
Life for you is…?
Finding your place in this world.
